Richard Roberts has worked in a variety of roles in the scientific field since 2010. Richard began their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Washington University in St. Louis in 2010, and then moved on to become a Staff Scientist at Washington University School of Medicine in 2015. In 2019, they became the Clinical Genomics Director at PierianDx, and then in 2021, they were promoted to Senior Scientist at the Neurogenomics and Informatics Center, Washington University School of Medicine. Currently, they are a Research Scientist at Geneoscopy, a position they have held since 2022.

Richard Roberts attended Duke University from 2003 to 2010, where they obtained a PhD in Genetics. Prior to that, they obtained a B.A. in Biochemistry and a B.A. in Biology from Oberlin College.
