Mary Jo vander Heiden

Mary Jo Vander Heiden is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in the field of electromagnetic and electromechanical systems. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Engineer at Generac Power Systems since March 2014, Mary Jo plays a key role in the alternator core engineering group, focusing on design, testing, and evaluation of various alternators using advanced FEA techniques. In addition to this role, Mary Jo operates as an Engineer at Mag-Num Consulting Services, LLC, providing design and analysis support to multiple clients. Prior experience includes a Senior Engineer position at Eaton Corporation, where responsibilities encompassed design, development, and project management, as well as an engineering role at MacNeal-Schwendler Corporation, specializing in electromagnetic FEA software. Mary Jo also contributed to the community as a Volunteer Coordinator for Hartford Youth Football from June 2010 to October 2014, organizing activities for over 200 families. Mary Jo holds a Bachelor and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University, following education at Brookfield East High School.
