Brett Zbar

Brett Zbar has extensive work experience in the field of life sciences and investment management. Brett currently works as the Managing Director and Global Head of Life Sciences at General Atlantic since September 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Managing Director at Foresite Capital Management from January 2015 to July 2020. From July 2004 to December 2014, they were a Partner at Aisling Capital LLC. Earlier in their career, Brett worked at McKinsey & Company as an Associate Principal from 1999 to 2004 and at Johns Hopkins Hospital as the Osler Medical Housestaff from July 1998 to June 1999.

Brett Zbar obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University between 1990 and 1994. During this time, they focused on studying Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry as well as English. Following their undergraduate studies, Brett attended Harvard Medical School from 1994 to 1998, where they earned their MD degree and specialized in Medicine.
