James van Eenenaam

James Van Eenenaam, MA MBA LCB, serves as the Director and Empowered Official for International Trade Compliance at General Atomics since November 2008, where responsibilities include leading the development and administration of the international trade compliance program. Additionally, James is the President of Lighthouse International Trade Consulting, LLC, focusing on import and export compliance and trade strategy since August 2008. James has contributed to the San Diego & Imperial Valley District Export Council as a member since October 2012 and served as Past Chair of the District Export Council of Southern California from January 2000 to October 2012. Previous experience includes positions at KPMG LLP, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Ernst & Young LLP, and the U.S. Bureau of Customs and Border Protection, accumulating extensive experience in international trade advisory services and compliance. James holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Affairs from Arizona State University, an MBA from the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School, and a BA in Business Administration from Hope College.
