Rich Stephens, an adjunct professor, has been self-employed since 2015. Rich has extensive experience in investigating the dynamics of disordered solids, specifically focusing on the relation between low-temperature 'glassy' states and a-Se quench rate in amorphous selenium. Prior to their current role, Rich served as the Chief Scientist of Inertial Fusion at General Atomics and as a Sr. Staff Scientist at Exxon Research & Engineering Co.
