Guissu Baier

Guissu Baier is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in human resources, employment law, and people operations. Currently serving as a People Advisory & Insights professional at General Catalyst since January 2023, Baier is also an angel investor at Pequity and an advisor at PeopleTech Partners, which supports early-stage people technology startups. Baier co-founded The People Collective, focusing on delivering customized people and culture strategies to innovative teams, and previously held the position of Vice President of Human Resources at Instacart, where direct reporting to the CEO involved providing strategic advice for a high-growth online grocery delivery startup. Baier's legal background includes roles as Counsel at Visa and Associate Employment Counsel at Littler Mendelson, where representation and counsel on various employment law matters were key responsibilities. Baier holds a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and a B.A. in Economics and Global Studies from UC Santa Barbara.
