Steve Herrod

Steve Herrod is the managing director at General Catalyst. Steve was previously the CEO of Gitpod, a startup that provides an open-source development environment for GitHub. Herrod has also held leadership positions at Prosimo.io, SECURITI.ai, Corelight, Inc, Armorblox, Curai, Arrcus, Inc., and Impira.

Steve Herrod received their Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University, their MS in computer science from Stanford University, and their BA in computer science from The University of Texas at Austin.

Steve Herrod works with Chris Bischoff - Managing Director, Jon Rehagen - CTO, and Larry Bohn - Managing Director. Steve Herrod reports to Hemant Taneja, Managing Partner.
