John Weidman

Vice President, Operations & Human Resources at General Dynamics Mission Systems

John Weidman has extensive experience in engineering and management positions. John started their career at Motorola Solutions in 1979, where they held various management and engineering positions until 2001. During their time at Motorola, they served as the Vice President and General Manager of the National Systems Division, focusing on designing and delivering integrated solutions for mission critical applications.

In 2001, Weidman joined General Dynamics C4 Systems, initially serving as the Division General Manager, Business Unit Manager, and Engineering Manager. John later held the position of Vice President and General Manager of the National Systems Division. From 2011 to 2013, they were the Vice President of Enterprise and Supply Chain Operations. Since 2013, they have been the Vice President of Operations and Human Resources, leading the departments responsible for staffing, training, field engineering, logistics, and program management support.

John Weidman has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Kansas State University, which they obtained between 1974 and 1979. John later pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in the same field from Arizona State University from 1980 to 1983.
