Sara Agullo

Sara Agullo is the Senior Managing Director of Business Development at General Electric. Sara has over twenty years of experience in the financial sector, working in corporate development, M&A, and investment banking.

Sara began their career at Goldman Sachs as a financial analyst. Sara then moved to McKinsey & Company, where they worked as a senior associate for one year. In 2000, they joined Banco Santander as Director of Business Development. Three years later, they joined GE Capital as Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Corporate Development/M&A. Sara held this position for fourteen years until they were promoted to their current role at GE in 2017.

Throughout their career, Sara has been involved in numerous successful transactions, including the sale of GE Capital’s North American Consumer Finance business to Synchrony Financial for $28 billion. Under their leadership, the Business Development team has completed over $100 billion of transactions.

Sara is a graduate of Harvard Business School and Dartmouth College.

Sara Agullo completed their B.A. at Wellesley College in Economics and Mathematics. Sara then went on to complete their M.B.A. at the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Finally, they completed a Visiting Undergraduate semester at Harvard University in Economics and Political Science.
