Abdullah Alseraihi is currently the Director of IT Governance and Digital Transformation at the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) since September 2021, following a role as Director of IT Governance and Planning at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) in mid-2021. Previous experience includes over a decade at the Saline Water Conversion Corporation, where Abdullah held various positions, including Manager of Governance & IT Projects, Section Head of IT Governance & Enterprise Architecture, IT Planning Specialist, and Datacenter Administrator. Abdullah possesses strong expertise in IT governance frameworks such as COBIT and enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF. Abdullah holds a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from RMIT University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Taibah University.

GEA is one of the initiatives emanating from the Kingdom’s vision of 2030, which was established by a supreme order on the 30th of Rajab, 1437H corresponding to the 7th of May 2016, to organize and develop the entertainment sector and support its infrastructure in the Kingdom, in cooperation with various governmental sectors and private entities, in accordance with its strategy aimed at improving the quality of life in our beloved Kingdom. GEA will draw the profile of this sector, define its vision, and meet the aspirations of the community members, considering the values, customs, and traditions of the Saudi society. This sector plays a pivotal role in providing inclusive entertainment options that suit all segments of the society and positively support the national economy by providing job opportunities, raising the level of investment, enriching national content, and strengthening the community system, thus achieving the vision of the sector by enriching life and drawing joy around the Kingdom.
