Celso Ribeiro

Celso Ribeiro is a seasoned professional in the field of plasma physics and fusion energy, currently serving as a Senior Scientist at General Fusion since September 2020. Previously, Celso held the position of Concept Lead - Fusion Scientist at Fuse from January 2019 to January 2020, and has extensive academic experience as a Research Professor in Plasma Physics for Fusion Energy and Technological Applications at several institutions, including Universidad de Costa Rica and Costa Rican Institute of Technology. Celso's research career began at UKAEA, Culham, where a tenure as a Fusion Energy Researcher lasted from April 1993 to October 2003. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Fusion Energy from Culham Science Centre and multiple degrees in Physics and Plasma Physics from Universidade de São Paulo.
