Ben Kester

Ben Kester is currently a Senior Principal Scientist at Eli Lilly and Company, a position held since July 2023. Prior to this role, Ben worked at Catalent Pharma Solutions from October 2017 to July 2023, serving as Senior Manager, Purification Development, where responsibilities included overseeing purification process design and characterizing technical transfers to cGMP production. Ben also held roles as Senior Supervisor and Manager/Senior Scientist at Catalent, focusing on downstream tech transfer, process development, and viral clearance for biologic drug manufacturing. Previously, Ben was a Senior Supervisor and Scientist at Cook Pharmica, concentrating on purification process development. Ben began the career at Indiana University as a Graduate Research Fellow, researching DNA-binding proteins, and holds a Master of Science in Biochemistry from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor of Science in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Grand Valley State University.
