Aitor Hernandez-Ortega

Aitor Hernandez-Ortega is a seasoned professional in data analysis and research, currently serving as a Data and Insight Analyst at the General Medical Council since November 2021. Prior to this role, Aitor operated as a Data Analyst at CGA from October 2018 to November 2021, and held the position of Postdoctoral Researcher at the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology, University of Manchester from September 2012 to September 2018. Aitor began a research career as a Postgraduate Researcher at CIB-CSIC from January 2007 to August 2012 and gained initial research experience as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the National Center for Biotechnology-CSIC in Madrid, Spain, from October 2005 to May 2006. Aitor holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Educational background also includes obtaining a High School degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from Instituto de Educación Secundaria Politécnico.
