Fernando Rea

Fernando Rea is an experienced food safety and quality professional currently serving as the Food Safety and Quality Manager at General Mills since September 2012. In this role, Fernando ensures product quality throughout the supply chain, managing product recovery processes for non-compliance with safety specifications. Fernando's expertise also includes previous positions as a Quality Engineer II and Quality Engineer I at General Mills, focusing on food safety coordination. Earlier experience includes working as a Color Specialist at Printpack, Inc., where responsibility included managing impression quality and developing color projects, and as a Production Assistant at Corporativo Concasa. Fernando holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Guadalajara and a Master of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Irapuato. Additionally, Fernando is currently training to become an internal auditor for the Food Safety Team under the FSSC 22000 certification scheme.
