Jim Howard

Jim Howard is an experienced legal professional specializing in intellectual property law, currently serving as Senior Intellectual Property Counsel at General Motors since June 2016. Prior to this role, Jim transformed the IP portfolio strategy at BSH Home Appliances Corporation, focusing on aligning intellectual property investments with business objectives. With a strong background in patent prosecution from roles at McGinn IP Law, Nixon Peabody, and Blank Rome LLP, Jim has handled various aspects of patent law including interviewing inventors, drafting applications, and litigation support. Jim holds a JD from Capital University Law School and a BSME in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
