Jorge Luis Valdez

Jorge Luis Valdez has extensive experience with General Motors, serving as Manufacturing Plant Director for Global Propulsion Systems Operations in Silao since January 2005. Valdez has held various leadership roles, including Assistant Plant Manager and Powertrain ME Mexico Director, where responsibilities included leading teams towards safety, quality, responsiveness, and cost efficiency, as well as implementing new powertrain programs across multiple sites in Mexico. Notable achievements include overseeing the launch of the 8-speed transmission in Silao and managing engine manufacturing operations producing 1,550 engines daily. Valdez's educational background includes an MBA in Talent Development and Finance from Universidad del Valle de México and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering in Manufacturing from Instituto Tecnológico de Saltillo.
