Rob Kempf

Rob Kempf is an experienced professional in machine learning and engineering, currently serving as the Machine Learning Lead at General Motors since October 2016, focusing on autonomous vehicles and engineering machine learning solutions. Prior to this role, Rob worked as a Machine Learning Consultant at TS8 Technologies and as a Machine Learning Engineer at Financial Arbitrage, where expertise in capital markets and trading technology was developed. Rob's earlier career includes positions at EMC Corporation and Sun Microsystems, emphasizing management in big data IT infrastructure and high-performance computing, respectively. Rob served as a Captain in the United States Air Force from 1984 to 1995, holding a Top Secret SBI/SCI Clearance and contributing to TCP/IP Internet Standards. Rob holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Boston College.
