The board of directors at General Motors has a long and varied history, with members coming from a variety of different industries and educational backgrounds. Some of the previous experiences of board members include working in sports marketing, sales management, and corporate sponsorships. Many of the members also have experience as CEOs of major companies, such as Hewlett Packard and Quibi. One member even ran for Governor of California. Despite their diverse backgrounds, all the members of the board share a commitment to helping General Motors succeed.
