Alison Kestner

Vice President Of Human Resources at General Shale

Alison Kestner has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Alison began their career at SunCom Wireless as a Retail Store Manager, where they managed budgets, quotas, and goals for multiple locations. Alison then transitioned to the role of Retail Channel Manager, responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training managers and store associates.

After their time at SunCom Wireless, Kestner joined T-Mobile as a Retail Store Manager. Here, they were in charge of recruiting, hiring, and training employees, as well as overseeing all aspects of the store. Alison also served as a Sales Development representative, managing national accounts and training associates.

Kestner's most recent role is with General Shale, where they have held various positions in the Human Resources department. Alison started as an HR Assistant, then moved on to becoming a Benefits/Recruiting Specialist, responsible for sourcing and interviewing candidates and managing employee benefits. Alison later became a Benefits Manager, overseeing benefit enrollment, maintenance, and researching claim issues. Kestner was then promoted to Senior Manager, Human Resources and Benefits, and subsequently became the Corporate Human Resources Manager. Alison currently holds the position of Director of Human Resources at General Shale.

Alison Kestner holds a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management from Radford University - College of Business and Economics, which they obtained from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, they had completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Emory & Henry College, from 1994 to 1996. In addition to their degrees, Alison has also obtained a certification in "Train the Trainer : World Class Customer Service" from Dale Carnegie Training in November 2014.
