Ellie Kitanidis

Ellie Kitanidis is an AI Researcher at Imbue, focusing on developing AI agents that integrate reasoning and coding capabilities while ensuring alignment with human values. Prior experience includes an AI Fellowship at OpenAI, where research concentrated on contrastive learning and language models, as well as serving as a Summer Instructor at Correlation One, managing teams on data science and machine learning projects. Additionally, Ellie conducted cosmology research at Berkeley Lab, investigating dark energy and dark matter, and participated in undergraduate research on galaxy clusters at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and gamma-ray bursts at Stanford University. Ellie holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in Physics from Stanford University.
