Dinesh de Alwis

Dinesh De Alwis has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Dinesh currently holds the role of Senior Vice President, Clinical Drug Development at Generate Biomedicines. Prior to this, they worked at Merck as an Associate Vice President in the field of Oncology Early Development. Dinesh also served as an Executive Director at Merck Research Laboratories, specializing in Immune/Oncology and Neuro, Quantitative Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics. Before joining Merck, Dinesh worked at Eli Lilly and Company, where they held various senior positions, including Senior Research Advisor & Group Leader and Head of PK/PD in the UK. Overall, Dinesh has a strong background in clinical drug development, oncology, and modeling and simulation.

Dinesh De Alwis earned a PhD in Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics from The University of Manchester, where they attended from 1993 to 1997.
