Ashley Penvose

Associate Director - Molecular Biology at Generation Bio

Ashley Penvose has extensive work experience in the field of molecular biology. Ashley is currently employed at Generation Bio as an Associate Director in Molecular Biology, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Scientist in Molecular Biology from September 2021 to March 2023, and as a Scientist in Molecular Biology from March 2020 to August 2021.

Before joining Generation Bio, Ashley worked at Boston University as a Graduate Research Fellow from April 2013 to August 2019.

Ashley also has experience working at Brigham and Women's Hospital, where they held the position of Technical Research Assistant II from February 2008 to August 2012. In this role, they characterized a population of newly discovered muscle-derived stem cells and gained extensive experience in stem cell isolation and maintenance. Ashley began their career at Brigham and Women's Hospital as a Technical Research Assistant I from July 2006 to January 2008.

Ashley Penvose completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biochemistry from Northeastern University. Ashley then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cell and Molecular Biology from Boston University, which they completed in 2020.
