Qiuxiang Ou

Associate Director, R&D at Geneseeq Technology

Dr. Qiuxiang Ou is the Associate Director in the R&D Department of Geneseeq Canada. Qiuxiang and her team are directly responsible for leading preclinical, disease-targeted, as well as evidence-based clinical research in the field of oncology and immunology, with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes.

Since joining Geneseeq in 2016, Qiuxiang has been undertaking diverse projects in clinical diagnostic technologies in order to develop next-generation sequencing (NGS) assays to assist with precision medicine. She has extensive experience in conducting scientific research in collaborative, cross-disciplinary environments and has co-authored scientific articles published in international peer-reviewed journals including Journal of Thoracic Oncology, Nature Communications, Clinical Cancer Research, The Oncologist and Lung Cancer.

Before joining Geneseeq, Qiuxiang was a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Alberta and a visiting Scientist at the Phillips University of Marburg in Germany where she studied gene regulation and its applications to human disease. She holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Alberta and is an active member of AACR and ACRP.
