Chief Engineer at Genesis Energy

Nicholas Supry has a diverse work experience in the maritime industry. Nicholas started their career as an Engine Cadet at TOTE Services, where they gained experience in slow speed diesel engine propulsion. Nicholas then worked as an Engine Cadet at Keystone Shipping Co., where they acquired steam propulsion and power generation skills. Later, at Maersk Line, Limited, they served as an Engine Cadet on a product tanker and obtained a PIC Tankerman endorsement from the United States Coast Guard. As an Engine Cadet/Intern at Matson, Inc., they supported project management for shipyard repairs. Nicholas also served as an Engine Cadet at Patriot Contract Services, gaining experience in gas turbine operation and maintenance. Nicholas then joined Diamond Offshore as a QMED/Oiler, responsible for conducting machinery rounds and performing maintenance on diesel engines. Most recently, they joined Genesis Energy, L.P. as an Assistant Engineer, where they collaborated with Shoreside Managers and Engineers to ensure regulatory compliance and safety. Nicholas was subsequently promoted to Chief Engineer, sailing aboard the MV Genesis Eagle and leading a safety-focused work environment. In 2018, they joined the U.S. Navy Reserve as a Lieutenant, serving as a Strategic Sealift Officer. Overall, Nicholas Supry has acquired a wide range of skills and expertise in the maritime industry throughout their career.

Nicholas Supry attended the United States Merchant Marine Academy from 2014 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering and Shipyard Management. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications, including 1st Assistant Engineer of Motor (Unlimited Horsepower), 3rd Assistant Engineer of Steam & Gas Turbine (Unlimited Horsepower), Chief Engineer (Limited - Oceans) of Motor (Unlimited Horsepower), Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Universal Certification from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Tankerman PIC certification from the U.S. Coast Guard.
