Ricardo Correia

Ricardo Correia has an extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Ricardo co-founded genesis.studio in 2019 and served as the Co-Founder & Advisor and later as the Co-Founder & COO. In these roles, they were responsible for defining the company's vision, mission, and strategies. Ricardo also managed company operations and implemented performance evaluation and improvement measures.

Prior to that, they worked at Celfocus from 2021 to 2023 as a Blockchain Specialist - Advisory & Growth. There, they advised a telecom client on the adoption of blockchain and distributed ledger technologies across various sectors. Ricardo conducted market research, qualified clients and partners, and provided design and architecture guidance.

In 2018, Ricardo worked at IntellectEU as a Business Development Manager. Ricardo contributed to the development of the company's go-to-market strategy for blockchain consulting and development services. Ricardo engaged with numerous institutions in the blockchain space and performed extensive research on the applicability of the technology in various industries.

Before that, they held multiple roles at SIBS from 2014 to 2018. Ricardo worked as a Project Manager and Pre-Sales support, managing the implementation of a mobile payment solution and advising the central bank and major commercial banks on technical standards and security measures. Ricardo also worked as a Functional and Business Analyst and Lead Customer Service Agent, providing support for payment systems and analyzing products and services.

Earlier in their career, Ricardo worked at everis as an IT Consultant, Functional Analyst, and Project Manager for banking and payment clients. Ricardo provided strategic advice on IT systems and supported the implementation of digitization initiatives for a Portuguese public organization.

In 2009, they started their career as a Junior Consultant at SBI Consulting.

Ricardo Correia's education history begins in 2003, when they enrolled in Instituto Superior Técnico to pursue a degree in IT Networks Engineering. However, this program remained unfinished as they did not complete it. Moving forward to 2005, Ricardo attended ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Industrial Engineering in 2009. Finally, in 2020, Ricardo completed an Executive Program in Futures, Strategic Design & Innovation at ISEG - Executive Education.
