James Schaeffer

James Schaeffer has extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. James served as the Vice President/Business Strategy at PhenoTarget from September 2020 to the present. Prior to that, they held a similar role at Genesis Therapeutics starting in March 2019. In 2014, they founded and became the President of JMSchaeffer Consulting, Inc. Additionally, they worked at the California Institute for Biomedical Research, where they served as the Vice President from June 2014 to April 2018 and also held the position of VP, External Relations during the same period. From November 1985 to May 2014, James was the Executive Director at Merck Research Labs.

James Schaeffer has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Molecular Biology from Northwestern University. Additionally, they hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Baylor College of Medicine.
