Albert Molina Gil

Albert Molina Gil has extensive work experience in the field of vector process development and cell and gene therapy. Albert is currently working as the Associate Director, Vector Sciences at Genespire since March 2023. Previously, they held the position of Scientist/Manager at Orchard Therapeutics from September 2020 to January 2023. Before that, they worked at Autolus Ltd. as a Senior Scientist in Vector Process Development from January 2019 to August 2019, and as a Research Scientist in Vector Process Development from February 2017 to January 2019. Albert also gained experience as an Industrial CASE PhD Student at GlaxoSmithKline, focusing on vector process research from September 2012 to December 2016. Albert began their career as an R+D biochemistry MSc Industrial placement at Grifols from February 2012 to July 2012, and as a Research Trainee at Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau from November 2010 to June 2011. Albert also completed research trainee roles at Anaxomics in July 2010 and at SUNY Upstate Medical University from July 2011 to September 2011.

Albert Molina Gil obtained a BSc in Biotechnology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in the years 2007 to 2011. Albert then pursued further education, completing an MSc in Pharmaceutical and Biotechnological Industry at Universitat Pompeu Fabra from 2011 to 2012. Following this, they enrolled at UCL as an Industrial CASE PhD student, specializing in an unspecified field of study, and concluded their studies there in 2016.
