Aaron Harper

Aaron Harper is currently the Director of High School Success, Twin Cities at Genesys Works. Prior to this role, Harper served as an Adjunct Instructor at Normandale Community College from January 2018 to May 2019. In this role, Harper was responsible for delivering approved curriculum using a variety of engaging activities and community building strategies. Harper also developed powerful presentations, conducted seminars and facilitated a comprehensive evaluation process. Other essential duties included creating and distributing course syllabi, delivering and ensuring all learners met the standards of each course taught, utilizing a variety of instructional strategies to engage learners, evaluating student performance based on rubrics and approved measurements, and maintaining accurate academic and behavioral records such as attendance, participation, and growth.

From January 2006 to December 2014, Harper served as Principal at South Washington County Schools. In this role, Harper was responsible for leading the school in its mission to provide a high-quality education for all students. Harper also oversaw the day-to-day operations of the school, including staffing, budgeting, and curriculum development.

From July 2016 to July 2017, Harper served as Chief Academic Officer at TRUTH Preparatory Academy. In this role, Harper was responsible for leading the academic programs of the school and ensuring that all students received a high-quality education. Harper also oversaw the curriculum development process and worked with teachers to improve instruction.

Previously, Harper also served as an Adjunct Professor at St. Mary's University of Minnesota

Aaron Harper has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biology from the University of St. Thomas, a K-12 Administration from St. Mary's University, and a Master of Arts (MA) in Teaching and Learning from St. Mary's University. Aaron also has certification from Deborah Manuel, Senior Associate in Ventures for Excellence Standard of Excellence in Teacher Selection.
