Philippe Rivest

Philippe Rivest is an experienced engineering professional in the field of computer engineering. Currently, Philippe is a Stagiaire en simulation et validation de systèmes embarqués at Tesla since May 2023. Philippe actively contributes as a Team Firmware Member for Formule Polytechnique Montréal - Formula SAE Electric, implementing custom drag reduction systems and managing server operations. Previous experience includes a Firmware design intern position at Genetec, where embedded software was developed on a custom Yocto Linux distribution, along with work on battery management algorithms. Philippe has served as a Teaching Assistant at Polytechnique Montreal, supporting introductory programming and data structures courses, and has held multiple leadership roles within the Polytechnique student association. Philippe's educational background includes a Non-Thesis Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, along with a Diploma of College Studies in Computer Science and Mathematics from College de Maisonneuve.
