John Buckels

John Buckels has a comprehensive and extensive work experience in the field of biotechnology and molecular diagnostics. John currently serves as the Director and Head of Sales and Support, Europe at Genetic Signatures since February 2020. Previously, they held various senior leadership positions at QIAGEN from 2006 to 2019, including Senior Director and Head of Infectious Disease Sales, EMEA, Senior Director and Head of Regional Marketing EMEA, and Director and Head of Infectious Disease Marketing EMEA, among others. Before joining QIAGEN, they worked as a senior scientist at invitrogen from 2004 to 2006 and as a scientist at DNA Research Innovations from 2003 to 2004. John started their career at GenoVar bioscience as the Head Technician from 1999 to 2003.

John Buckels attended the University of Liverpool from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Pharmacology (Hons).
