Mustafa K Sharif

Mustafa K Sharif has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology and security. Mustafa is currently working as an Information Technology Security Specialist at Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSAgov), HHS since August 2020. Prior to this, they founded Marketania, LLC in 2007 and co-founded Genetoo Inc. in 2017. Mustafa also worked as a Vulnerability Assessment Analyst & Team Lead at Cyberdata Technologies, Inc. from October 2019 to August 2020. Mustafa also worked at NTT DATA as an Information Security Engineer II from March 2018 to October 2019, where they supported the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). Before that, they were an IT Administrator at Mchelper Printer Support from December 2010 to March 2018.

Mustafa K Sharif completed their education in a chronological manner. Mustafa began their academic journey by earning an Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, General from Montgomery College between the years 2010 and 2013. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at The George Washington University from 2013 to 2015. Finally, Mustafa obtained their Master's degree in Biotechnology from The Johns Hopkins University, where they studied from 2015 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Mustafa K Sharif has also obtained several certifications. In August 2017, they became certified as a CompTIA Security+ ce. In September 2017, they received the CompTIA Linux+ (Powered by LPI) Certification. In October 2017, they obtained the LPIC-1 certification from the Linux Professional Institute. In August 2018, Mustafa became a Splunk Certified User and a Splunk Certified Power User. In July 2019, they earned the Metasploit Pro Certified Specialist certification from Rapid7. By December 2019, Mustafa had obtained the Nessus Certificate of Proficiency from Tenable. Additionally, in January 2020, they acquired the Tenable.SC Certificate of Proficiency and the Cofense PhishMe Certification. Finally, in June 2020, they achieved the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification from EC-Council, and in August 2021, they became a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) through (ISC)².
