Dr. Paul W. Poteete

Dr. Paul W. Poteete, PhD, currently serves as Pastor at Sixth Avenue Sanctuary and has been an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Cybersecurity at Geneva College since 2017. With extensive experience in the field of information security, Dr. Poteete has held various academic and leadership positions, including Principal Consultant at Aura Information Security and Faculty roles at institutions such as Higher Colleges of Technology, University of Phoenix, University of Hawaii, and Monterey Peninsula College. Dr. Poteete was President and CEO of VikingWorx, Inc., and Director of Information Technology at Na Hoku Jewelers, demonstrating expertise in security solutions and operations management. Dr. Poteete holds a PhD in Information Technology from the University of Pretoria, a Master of Science in Information Systems and Operations from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Sciences from Excelsior University, along with linguistic certification in Russian from the Defense Language Institute.
