Alistair Stead

Alistair Stead has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Alistair is the Director and Founder of Kodehort Limited since November 2016. In addition, they have served as the Consulting Technical Product Director at Genie Ventures starting from November 2020. Alistair has also held interim CTO positions at Prolific from December 2021 to September 2022 and Constant.Co from February 2021 to July 2021.

Prior to these roles, Alistair was a Partner, Technology at Kamet Ventures from November 2016 to September 2020. There, they served as the Chief Technology Officer and Advisor to new venture founders and the Kamet Ventures investment committee. Alistair supported the creation of new ventures in InsureTech/FinTech, assessed technical feasibility and market fit, and advised founding teams on early prototyping and Minimal Viable Product delivery.

Before their time at Kamet Ventures, Alistair held the role of Chief Technology Officer at Inviqa from June 2014 to October 2016. Alistair also served as a Technical Assurance Manager and Technical Lead Engineer at Ibuildings, where they were responsible for supporting the delivery of complex software solutions with Open Source technology. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Interactive Developer at Engine Creative, where they were responsible for the technical design and architecture of medium to large scale projects.

Earlier in their career, Alistair worked as a Lead Developer at Green Cathedral, where they initiated research into PHP frameworks and provided technical support and guidance to their team and clients.

Overall, Alistair Stead has a wealth of experience in various technical and leadership roles, with a focus on technology, product development, and venture creation within the InsureTech/FinTech industry.

Alistair Stead completed their education at Teesside University, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science - Multimedia from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, they attended Oxford Brookes University from 1996 to 1999, where they obtained a Higher Certificate in Fine Art.
