Kristina Schimmelpfeng Henthorn

Kristina Schimmelpfeng Henthorn serves as the Head of Operations Quality Control at GenMark Diagnostics since June 2014, with a progressive career spanning roles from Senior Scientist to Director. Kristina's expertise lies in IVD assay development, where significant experience has been gained in product technical support and assay management. Prior to GenMark, Kristina held key scientific positions at RetroVirox Inc. and RGo Bioscience LLC, focusing on antiviral compound identification and RNA interference technologies, respectively. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Developmental Neurobiology from the University of Münster and a Diploma in Developmental Biology, Genetics, and Biochemistry from the University of Cologne. Kristina has also contributed to organizations such as AWIS San Diego as a board member and co-chair of the website committee.
