Zander Mears

Zander Mears is currently serving as an HPC Platform Engineer at Genomics England, a position held since June 2021. Prior to this role, Zander accumulated extensive experience at the European Bioinformatics Institute | EMBL-EBI, where responsibilities included serving as a Compute Systems Administrator and Storage Systems Administrator from July 2012 to June 2021. Earlier experience includes working as a VMware & Storage System Administrator at Cardif Pinnacle from June 2011 to July 2012, and as a Primary Network Support Specialist/Network Manager at Domino Printing Sciences from December 2003 to June 2011. Zander began a career in IT as a Computer Associate at the University of Cambridge's Faculty of Classics from April 2002 to December 2003 and earlier worked as a European Network Operations Engineer at PSINet from June 1998 to December 2001.
