Sofie Ashford

Sofie Ashford is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program and operations management within the healthcare and research sectors. Currently serving as Programme Manager at Genomics plc since July 2021, Sofie previously held the role of Innovation Lead at UK Research and Innovation, focusing on the Accelerated Detection of Disease Challenge. Prior to that, Sofie spent a decade at the University of Cambridge, where roles included Operations Lead for the NIHR BioResource, successfully managing recruitment for over 140,000 participants, and leading multiple rare disease projects. Sofie's adept leadership and strategic planning skills have been instrumental in building strong collaborations and enhancing participant engagement for research initiatives.
