Islay Burgess

Islay Burgess, AIA, serves as Principal and NE Regional Design Technology Director at Gensler since April 2018, having previously held the position of Associate, BIM + Digital Design Manager from September 2011 to January 2018. Prior experience includes working as a Junior Architect at Unabridged Architecture from March 2009 to August 2011 and as a Project Manager in the Architecture Department at Centex Homes from January 2002 to September 2007. Islay Burgess holds a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) in Architecture and Community Design from the University of South Florida and a degree in Architectural Engineering from The University of Southern Mississippi. A commitment to sustainability is reflected in the adoption of the 2030 Challenge, aiming to significantly reduce energy consumption in new buildings and renovations.
