Christopher L. Moore

Chris is a Director in the Research organization leading the early stage Technology teams at Gentibio. Before joining Gentibio, Chris served as the Director of the Prime Culture Science and Protein Science teams at Rubius Therapeutics. While leading these highly collaborative teams, Chris facilitated the design, production, and initial testing of prototypes required by Discovery teams to carry out IND-enabling studies, resulting in the development of allogeneic red cell therapeutics across multiple indications in oncology, autoimmunity and enzyme replacement therapy. Chris grew up in central Texas in the city of San Antonio before going slightly north to earn his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Dallas, where he contributed to research studying protein misfolding associated with neurodegenerative diseases.

After researching experimental NMR methods to measure metabolism associated with diabetic mice at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Chris then moved much further north to receive a Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he focused on the development of novel tools and directed evolution methods to study protein folding in living cells.
