Antonio Gomez has had a long and successful career in engineering. Antonio began their career in 1999 as a Telecommunications Engineer at Omnico of Florida. In 2001, they moved to Boston Scientific as a Sr. Engineer. In 2005, they were hired as a Principal Engineer at Honeywell FM&T Division. In 2015, they returned to Sandia National Laboratories as an R&D Electrical Engineer. In 2018, they were hired by Lockheed Martin as a Systems Integration/Test Engineer Staff. Finally, in 2022, they began working as an Engineering Manager - Government Systems at Genuen.
Antonio Gomez completed their undergraduate studies at Universidad Simón Bolívar from 1980 to 1984. Antonio then attended Florida International University from 1984 to 1986, earning a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. From 2001 to 2005, they attended Florida International University again, this time earning a Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management. Antonio then attended New Mexico State University from 2008 to 2009 for Systems Engineering. Lastly, they attended The University of New Mexico from 2012 to 2020, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering/Systems and Signal Processing.
