George Ashford

George Ashford has a diverse work experience, starting in 2020 with roles such as an Intern at Rep. Blumenauer's Online Intern Workshop and a Field Organizer for the Michigan Democratic Party. In 2021, they worked as an Executive Intern at FairVote and as a Communications Assistant for Friends of Kate Stewart. George also served as a Government Affairs Intern at BPC Action in 2023. Currently, they are the Director of Collegiate Policy at GENup and a Research Assistant at the Rose Institute of State and Local Government, where they are conducting research on California housing reform. Throughout their various roles, George has gained valuable skills in areas such as research, communication, advocacy, and strategic planning.

George Ashford obtained a Bachelor's degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) from Claremont McKenna College. Prior to that, they completed the Communication Arts Program (Humanities) and received their High School Diploma from Montgomery Blair High School. In 2018, they also obtained an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate from the American Red Cross.
