Patrice Linel

Patrice Linel is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data science, data engineering, and computational biology. Since October 2014, Patrice has held multiple roles at Genus PLC, currently serving as Senior Manager of Data Science and Data Engineering and previously as Scientific Computing Manager and Computational Scientist. Responsibilities include leading a team, managing HPC infrastructure, and innovating data solutions for R&D in animal genetics. Prior to Genus PLC, Patrice worked as a Postdoctoral Biostatistician and Computational Biologist at the University of Rochester, focusing on high-performance algorithms and immune response modeling. Earlier academic roles included a Junior Lecturer in Applied Mathematics at Université Lyon 1 and a PhD student at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, specializing in applied mathematics. Educational credentials include a PhD in Applied Mathematics and an engineering degree from Ecole Polytechnique Universitaire de Lyon.
