Jack Horng

VP, APAC Sales at Geo Semiconductor

Jack Horng has held various positions in the tech industry since 1997. Jack started as a Software Engineer at Engineering Animation Inc. (EAI), where they designed and implemented a 2D/3D game engine for EAI games and shipped X-Fire, a shooting game. In 1998, they moved to Autodesk, where they designed and implemented a 3D rendering engine for AutoCAD, which was shipped in AutoCAD 2000. In 1999, they became a Performance Engineer at NetIQ Corp, where they designed and executed performance benchmark and product QA plan for NetIQ's flagship product AppManager. In 2000, they joined PowerTV as a Technical Support Engineer, where they supported the PowerTV Operating System, middleware and its applications running on Scientific-Atlanta based Set-top boxes. In 2001, they became a Sales Program Manager at Equator Technologies, where they integrated Equator business to Pixelworks business and set up a customer support center in Shanghai for the Greater China region. In 2005, they became the AMP Business Development and Customer Support Manager for the Greater China Region at Pixelworks, where they managed APAC forecast, support activities and pricing to meet quarterly revenue target. In 2006, they became the Director of Asia Sales at Stream Processors, Inc., where they hired and managed a team of field support engineers. Finally, in 2011, they joined GEO Semiconductor, Inc. as VP of APAC Sales and later as Sr. Director APAC, where they set up a China automotive aftermarket strategy and created price competitive rear view cameras.

Jack Horng attended Tunghai University from 1984 to 1988, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Jack then attended Arizona State University from 1991 to 1993, where they earned a Master's degree in Computer Science. Jack returned to Arizona State University from 1993 to 1995 to earn a Master's degree in Mathematics. Jack then pursued post-graduate study at Arizona State University from 1995 to 1997 in Mathematics.
