Jim Smith has extensive work experience in the specialty chemicals industry. Jim started their career in 1999 as a Laboratory/Customer Support Manager at Anitox, where they remained until 2003. Jim then worked at Millennium Mat from 2003 to 2007 as a Quality Manager/Quality Engineer. In 2008, Jim joined Meggitt Polymers and Composites as a Quality Manager and stayed until 2011. Since then, they have been with GEO Specialty Chemicals, Inc., where they have held various roles including Quality Assurance Manager, Director of Quality and Tolling, and currently serves as the Director of Operations for the Specialty & Construction Division.
Jim Smith completed their Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, General at Georgia State University in an unspecified year. Jim then pursued a Lean Six Sigma Certification: Black Belt at Georgia Institute of Technology from 2015 to 2016. Later, from 2017 to 2018, they attended Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, obtaining a Master's degree in Project Management.
