Mar Pillado López

Mar Pillado López has a diverse work experience, starting in 2015 as a Clinical Psychologist Intern at Medinamar Norte, where they conducted psychological diagnoses and implemented interventions for individuals with brain damage and severe mental illnesses.

In 2016, Mar joined Geoblink as an Operations Manager, HR & Communications, where they were involved in various tasks to support the hyper-growth tech startup. This included sales operations, marketing, and PR actions.

In 2017, Mar transitioned to the role of Executive Assistant to CEO at Geoblink, where their responsibilities included assisting the CEO with company growth, implementing internal financial reports and budgets, managing external stakeholder relationships, and preparing reports and documents for grants, competitions, and media interviews.

From 2018 to 2020, Mar held the position of Finance & Admin Manager at Geoblink. They established the finance department, developed internal processes, and created internal and external financial reportings. They also implemented and improved internal controls and processes and co-led the People and Admin teams.

Currently, Mar is the Head of Finance at Geoblink, responsible for forecasting, budgeting, monitoring, and driving key financial metrics and milestones across the organization. They work closely with all departments to answer strategic business questions and achieve company goals. Additionally, they lead the development of reporting models and recommend cost reductions while ensuring data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

Mar Pillado López pursued a four-year Bilingual Psychology Degree in Clinical Psychology from 2011 to 2015 at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. In 2013, Mar participated in an exchange program at the University of Tübingen, where they furthered their studies in psychology. In addition to their formal education, Mar has obtained several certifications to enhance their knowledge in business and finance. These include completion of the Startup Finance course at The Startup CFO Academy in December 2021, Corporate Finance and Strategic Corporate Management certification from Udemy in April 2020, and the Business Foundations Specialization by the University of Pennsylvania via Coursera in January 2019.
