Cristian Virrueta is a Senior Staff Geologist at GEOCON since August 2018, having previously served as a Staff Geologist. At the Scripps Institution of Oceanography from September 2015 to June 2018, Cristian was a Staff Research Associate responsible for operating mass spectrometers for isotope analysis and conducting fieldwork. The thesis focused on geothermal resources in Baja California, involving a significant field expedition. Cristian also contributed as a Residential Advisor for the Institute of the Americas' Science & Innovation Summer Camp and as a Residential Counselor and Teaching Assistant at Stanford University. Cristian holds a Master of Science in Geochemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences from UC San Diego.
