Seratun Jannat

Seratun Jannat, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Seratun currently works as a Lead Data Scientist at GEODIS since March 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Sr. Data Scientist at G2Lytics from October 2017 to March 2021, where they were responsible for designing and maintaining predictive models using AWS technologies. Seratun also worked as a Data Scientist at Cotiviti from April 2017 to September 2017. Before transitioning to the field of data science, Seratun worked as a Data Scientist at MEDHOST from July 2015 to January 2017, where they developed analytical models for healthcare business needs. Seratun also worked as an Adjunct Faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) from January 2015 to July 2015, teaching undergraduate courses in Quantitative Analysis. Prior to that, they had teaching roles at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, where they served as an Assistant Professor from April 2009 to January 2010 and as a Lecturer from August 2007 to April 2009. Seratun also worked as a Part-time Faculty at MIST, AUST, UIU from February 2007 to August 2007.

Seratun Jannat, PhD, received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Industrial Engineering from Mississippi State University in 2014. Earlier, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Industrial and Production Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 2008, and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Production Engineering from the same institution in 2006. Seratun also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Mississippi State University. In addition to their educational achievements, they have obtained several certifications, including ones from Nashville Analytics Summit 2019, AWS NZ, PyTN, Tableau Software, and INFORMS.
