Mrinmoy Maitra

Mrinmoy Maitra's work experience includes a role as a Geology Associate and core logger at GeologicAI since November 2022, where they are responsible for geological logging, using XRF and wavelength signatures, and auto-sampling. Prior to that, they worked as a Lab Analyst at AGAT Laboratories from December 2019 to August 2021. Mrinmoy also served as a Petroleum Source Rock Analyst at GNS Science from June 2018 to November 2019, conducting SRA to determine the source rock potential. Mrinmoy Maitra was a Field and Lab Demonstrator at the University of Canterbury from September 2015 to November 2018, and a Research Assistant from June 2014 to August 2015. Mrinmoy worked as a Coal Mining Database Analyst at Solid Energy New Zealand Ltd from March 2017 to May 2018, and as a Core Logging Geologist at New Zealand Petroleum & Minerals from July 2016 to February 2017. Additionally, Mrinmoy Maitra has experience as a Logging Geologist at Halliburton from June 2013 to May 2014, and as a Mudlogger at Weatherford from December 2010 to April 2013.

Mrinmoy Maitra completed their education in the field of geology and geophysics. Mrinmoy received a Bachelor's degree in Geology/Earth Science from the University of Dhaka in 2005. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Petroleum Geology and Geophysics from the same university, completing it in 2008. Following this, Mrinmoy Maitra enrolled at the University of Canterbury and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Basin Analysis and Sequence Stratigraphy, which they accomplished from 2015 to 2020. Additionally, they obtained a certification in "Geothermal Essential-Moving Geothermal Forward in Canada" from Geothermal Canada in April 2022.
