Steve Hermeston

Steve Hermeston has over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Steve began their career in 1996 as Team Lead New Ventures at Kerr McGee Oil & Gas. In 2004, they became Team Lead Suriname, Guyana, Platforma Deltana at Repsol YPF. From 2005 to 2007, they were Senior Geological Advisor at Occidental Oil and Gas, where they acquired acreage in deepwater Nigeria with ENI and Exxon as operators. In 2007, they became New Ventures Manager at Remora Energy. From 2011 to 2017, they held various roles at CGX Energy Inc., Jaguar Ventures LLC, Winchester Energy Ltd, and White Rose Energy Ventures LLP. Most recently, they have been Chief Data Officer at Geolumina since 2019, where they are pushing the boundaries of geologic interpretation to create AI imbued with geologic intuition.

Steve Hermeston attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 1974 to 1977, studying Biology. Steve then attended the University of South Florida from 1977 to 1981, where they earned a BA in Geology.
