Summary:

The Rig Service Specialist combines the technical abilities of a service mechanic with the customer-centered approach of a phone support specialist. This position requires a unique blend of hands-on mechanical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to effectively communicate with end users to provide comprehensive support for technical drilling equipment.  

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on rigs and related equipment
  • Provide phone support to customers, guiding them through troubleshooting procedures
  • Maintain detailed records of service interactions, solutions provided, and follow-up actions
  • Timely input of machine related customer interactions into system
  • Work collaboratively with a team.
  • Continuously learn and stay updated on the latest industry developments and technologies.
  • Willing to travel (Fly or Drive) to customers experiencing technical issues in the field.  (This does not happen regularly, but sometimes happens on short notice)
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Able to work 45-hour work week
