Brendon L Neuen has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Brendon L started their career in 2014 as a Doctor at Queensland Health and then moved on to work as a Doctor at St Vincent's Health Network Sydney in 2015. In 2016, they joined NSW Health as a Doctor and continued their role until 2023. During this time, they also worked as a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney from 2017 to 2020. In 2019, they served as an Editorial Fellow at the American Society of Nephrology, specifically for the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology. In 2023, they took on various roles, including a Research Fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital, a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School, a Staff Specialist Nephrologist, and the Director of the Kidney Trials Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital, a Senior Research Fellow at The George Institute for Global Health, and a Medical Director at George Clinical.
Brendon L Neuen has a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) degree from James Cook University. They also have a Master of Science (MSc) in Global Health and Epidemiology from the University of Oxford. Additionally, Brendon has completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field of SGLT2 inhibition to improve outcomes in type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease from UNSW. They are currently pursuing a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard Medical School in the field of heart failure and chronic kidney disease. They hold certifications from the American Society of Nephrology (FASN) and The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
